Burnt Orange Restore Basket by Mika Tolvanen for Muuto

Sculptural Storage with a Warm Colour Palette

The Muuto Burnt Orange Restore Basket offers a design-led approach to everyday organisation, bringing together soft geometry, tactile materiality and expressive colour. Designed by Mika Tolvanen, the basket features a rounded rectangular silhouette with gently curved sides and subtle dips along its upper edges. The rich Burnt Orange colourway introduces an earthy warmth, while the felt's textured surface gives the design a softer, more inviting character. Integrated cut-out handles sit neatly within the curved sides, maintaining the basket's clean profile while adding a practical design detail. Positioned beside a sofa for magazines, in a bedroom for accessories or within a home office for loose essentials, the Restore Basket brings personality to everyday storage. Its warm colouring works particularly well alongside natural timber, neutral upholstery and contrasting dark finishes.

Polymer Felt and Considered Construction

Crafted from polymer felt, the Muuto Restore Basket combines a tactile surface with a defined, freestanding form. The softly structured sides create a generous open storage area, while the rounded corners and gently shaped upper edges give the basket its recognisable silhouette. Integrated handle openings at either end provide convenient points for lifting and repositioning the basket around the home. Measuring 48cm long, 35cm wide and 23cm high, the Restore Basket offers practical proportions for organising magazines, textiles, accessories and smaller household items. The Burnt Orange finish introduces a warm colour accent without overwhelming surrounding furnishings, allowing the basket to function as both a useful storage piece and a considered decorative element.
